Barr camp

well today we went to Barr camp, where i'm convinced half the world must live...we went with five trucks at around 11am, three more came later, and we just arrived back in lira at 6:30pm. and the camp is only 10km from town.

but it was a good day. i saw the guy with the "do not fear for I am with you" t-shirt i had mentioned in an earlier email. he's actually an evangelist in some of the camps. nice guy.

i also saw some quite interesting signage around the camp as well. the above photo is of one of these signs. they were basically random messages, some with varying degrees of meaning and relevancy. some favorites were, "i am happy to be a boy", "say no to sex", "speak english", and the winner for irony of the day, "time is money". the signs are posted around the school, trying to encourage the children, but i wonder how many of them can actually read english??

there is a shop downtown which is called "buy animal drugs" - am a little concerned about the business that takes place there...
